What’s Ahead

Fellowship, service, and a full calendar. Come to a meeting, bring a friend, or roll up your sleeves for the next project. We will keep this list current as dates pass.

This page is meant to stay live. After an event happens, delete that block and the list stays fresh. Standing meeting info stays at the top unless the schedule changes.

Standing meeting rhythm

• Board meeting — 1st Monday of each month, 6:30 p.m. Any member is welcome.

• Member meeting — 2nd Monday of each month, 6:30 p.m.

• September — clubhouse. October through January — Central Baptist Church, 1500 Courthouse Road, Richmond, VA 23236.

• The September board meeting is combined with the member meeting because of the Labor Day holiday.

OCTOBER 2026

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10

First Annual Yard Sale

Our first club-wide yard sale — a chance to clear closets, raise funds, and see the community stop by. We need people for donation collection, sorting, pricing, cashiers, signage, setup, and cleanup.

This one takes a village. Pick a role and we will put you to work.

2ND MONDAY OF OCTOBER · 6:30 P.M.

Member Meeting — Stephanie Becker, Better2gether RVA

Central Baptist Church

Stephanie Becker, Executive Director of Better2gether RVA, will share how the organization walks with families of children facing complex medical illnesses.

Tuesday, OCTOBER 20

Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser

Second night of the fall Roadhouse series. Same simple assignment: show up, eat well, support the club.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24

Brunswick Stew Sale

A Chesterfield classic. Stew sales only work when the crew is deep — cooking, packing, selling, and delivering. Watch for order details as the date gets closer.

NOVEMBER 2026

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7

Appomattox District Convention

Registration forms will be shared as soon as they are out. A good day to represent Central Chesterfield, compare notes with sister clubs, and bring ideas home.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9

Law Enforcement and First Responder Honor

Each November we nominate and honor local officers and first responders who serve this community.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17

Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser

Third and final Roadhouse night of the fall run.

DECEMBER 2026

NO LATER THAN MONDAY, DECEMBER 1

Stockings for Soldiers — Return Date

Morrissett Funeral Home

Filled stockings must be back to Morrissett by December 1 so they can ship on time. That deadline is firm.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 14 · 2ND MONDAY

Family Christmas Dinner / Ladies Night

The December member night becomes a family table. Put the date on the calendar now so nobody double-books the evening.

JANUARY 2027

MONDAY, JANUARY 11 · 6:30 P.M.

2nd Annual Howard “Curly” Hall Memorial Curly Cakes & Sausage Dinner

Central Baptist Church · 1500 Courthouse Road, Richmond, VA 23236

We remember Curly the best way a Ruritan club knows how — around a full plate with the door open. All are welcome.
